Our recovery model is based on the 12 steps. Foster Living residents are encouraged to attend 12 step meetings; follow up with treatment requirements; have a sponsor and be actively working the 12 steps.
We encourage Foster Living residents to actively seek employment and also volunteer. We strive to help our residents develop beliefs, values and attitudes that are consistent with the recovery themes of unity, service, acceptance, humility and gratitude.
Each Foster Living residence has the same standard amenities and is managed by a resident Peer Leader. A typical daily schedule may look like this:
8:30 - 9:00 AM - In-house recovery meeting
9:00 - 9:30 AM - House chores
10:00 AM - 1:00 PM - Intensive Outpatient Program (outside agency)
1:00 - 5:00 PM - Individual time (work out, prepare meals, job hunt, relax, etc.)
6:00 - 9:00 PM - Attend AA/NA/HA meetings in the area
11:00 PM curfew - All residents must return home for the evening
